I had a full brake job done on my vehicle in October 2022. I returned twice over a 6 month period in 2024 (it was still covered under their 2 year warranty) because the brakes were making noise. Their technicians took it out for a test drive both times, and when they returned, they said there was nothing wrong with the brakes. They didn't do any real testing of the brakes; just took the vehicle on a road test each time. Now after 19,000 km since the brakes were done by Mint, and 7 months after the warranty expired, the brakes began 'pulsing' at low speed while braking. I took it to a different shop and they conducted mechanical tests which confirmed that the rear rotors were shot (warped) and the likely problem/cause was the pins that the calipers slide on. They were able to save the calipers, but had to replace the pins and discs. The vehicle is just used for running around town, so for the brakes to go after only 19,000 km for the light duty it has performed, suggests that Mint didn't do the full job, or they installed defective parts, but they certainly charged me a whopping price when they did the work. So after all of this, I have to look back and say 'buyer beware' when dealing with Mint. I won't ever go back there.
